Every year on the last day of school, we give out Christmas gifts to our students and teachers. We get a lot of help to make that happen from people who purchase and bring over items we really can only get on Amazon (bulk coloring/crayon packages for our preschool classes), or the multiple groups that purchase yarn and spend their time making all of our washcloths to just monetary contributions. This year we are looking at 320 students and 19 staff members which is going to cost a good bit, but also our schedule has been thrown into disarray because the government of Tanzania has decided to close schools a month early out of fear of the Super El Nino and potential flooding. That means we have one month less than we thought we had to get it all done and we will.

In all of this, I would like to ask if you can make a monetary contribution of any amount that would be appreciated.

Some of our kids and their gifts from 2025. It is of course one of their favorite days of the school year which leads to all the big smiles.

All students get a backpack, water bottle, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, washcloth, exercise books, pencils, pens, sharpeners, erasers, fingernail clippers (to stop them from using razor blades to cut them), candy, some type of toy.

Pre-schoool students get coloring books and crayons. Standard 3 students get a Bible.

Staff get a washcloth, pens, an exercise book, a large bag of rice, a 5 Kg of sugar, toothpaste, toothbrush, water bottle and fingernail clippers.

The cost of all this including going to get the presents is $5500. That is a little more than $16 per individual.
