Virtual Mission Trip
Let’s be honest, it is expensive to travel to Tanzania and because of the time difference and amount of travel you would need to allocate more than a week for a mission trip. While we love hosting groups or individuals who want to visit or help at our school, we also need people to help us through our virtual mission trip. We started this program in 2018 when the Reading with Barnabas Bear program started. The program started simple with videos downloaded from YouTube of people reading stories. Since then we have created some of our own and we have had people send us videos of them reading stories, groups singing, science experiments and craft ideas. If you would like more information on how to create a virtual mission trip and get it to the school, please read the blog shown below.
Virtual Mission Trip-What we need and how to make one
This trip home to the states is coming to a close and I have been working to create a blog that gives a lot more detail about what a Virtual Mission Trip, what types of Virtual Mission Trips we need and how to go about creating one. I will eventually takes this blog and post…

In Person Mission Trips
We will make arrangements in country for groups of 1 to 12 people (more than 12 can be handled but becomes harder to arrange) to visit and work with our school. These can include work trips or Vacation Bible School teams. We set up hotels, transportation in country, safari trips, food, clean water, and supplies. We appreciate at least a year from idea to visit. We can also set up for multiple month visits for individuals who want to get involved in teaching our students alongside the Tanzanian teachers.

Wish List Contributions
Every year we put together a wish list of items that would best help the school. Always at the top of that list are contributions to our building program. Most classroom buildings cost around $17,000. But there are a large range of items from Playground equipment that often cost about $1000 per piece to desks and cabinets and gifts for top students. This list changes so often and with people volunteering to help us out that we are not posting it on the site because it almost out of date a week after we post it.
