Always a key element to a successful Bible school is games for the kids to play. They don’t always tie directly into your bible lesson for a specific day, but they do allow the kids to be kids and burn some energy. When doing one in a less developed country where team sports, especially for everyone, are not big it is important to provide teamworking skills as part of games. St. Mark UMC mission team covered all of that and had a lot of fun along the way.

Sometimes games change along the way as seen above. They were having relay races which evolved into chases when the person you are supposed to tap before returning takes off on you. I love that photo of Todd being chased by Ringo and company.
It all started with Terry when he wanted to see if the kids would chase him around the latrine. Some of the kids figured out they could wait for him on this side of the latrine and cut him off. Fortunately after he fell he hoped right back up unscathed.

They are naturally competitive (they are still kids) but when you add a teacher or a driver to the mix it becomes cut throat. Accusations of cheating in the over/under game stained the last day as one of our drivers and one of the teachers decided to coach the teams. It was funny. Also lesson learned, when doing over/under where the pass the ball over the head and then the next person passes it between their legs, alternate the girls so they pass over their head. Some the girls hiked their skirts up so much they may as well have taken them off (yes most where leggings underneath) but still it makes it more skirt friendly if you alternate them.
