A Bible school has to have crafts. Children the world over love to do crafts. In fact when doing a Bible school in Africa or South America you will find the adults enjoy the chance to participate in the crafts room as much as the children. I have had bus and truck drivers sit down and color as happy as any child.

Diane led our craft room and had lots of fun helping the kids do their craft every day. That is her with Elizabeth (called Elisha normally but I refer to as smiles). She got a great amount of help from Mary with printing photos of every student for their Friday craft of a picture frame.

Here is Cathy taking some of the kids photos. It takes a lot of work to get them to both look at you, not imitate anything you are doing with your hand that you may do to draw their attention to you and smile. It became the running joke of me telling the kids to cheka (swahili for smile) in varying tones and voices to make them giggle. They were often warned that I would tickle them if they did not smile.

Gladness (one of our Standard 7 students who graduated and returned to help) taking a break.
